Korean beauty moves in fast cycles: a product can spike because of a drama appearance or a viral clip and fade a month later, while the quiet, steady sellers rarely trend dramatically at all. Treat the list above as a shortlist generator, not a shopping cart.
- Steady beats viral. If something is still on the list when you check back weeks later, that's a much stronger signal than a one-week spike.
- Seasonality is real. Sunscreens surge before summer, rich creams before winter. A product sliding down the list may simply be off-season, not out of favor.
- Category rank beats overall rank. Knowing the third-most-popular sunscreen is more useful than knowing the thirtieth-most-popular product overall.

The most common K-beauty mistake is buying for someone else's skin. The fix costs nothing: Korean stores are built for trying before buying, and staff expect you to use that.
